What to know before choosing the date.
Puglia combines whitewashed towns, olive groves, masserie and a long Adriatic and Ionian coastline. Ostuni, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare and the Valle d'Itria are close enough for a focused trip, but the strongest elopements use one masseria or town as their centre.
Historic farm estates are private venues with their own supplier and ceremony policies. Coastal cliffs and old-town lanes can be crowded in summer, and parking is limited in the most photographed centres. Confirm access for the florist, beauty team and photographer rather than treating accommodation access as event permission.
May, June, September and early October offer warm weather without the most intense August heat. Wind can affect coastal ceremonies, while olive-grove and courtyard alternatives provide useful shelter.
