Their approach

Meet Ásatrúarfélagið (Ásatrú Fellowship).

Ásatrúarfélagið, the Ásatrú Fellowship, is Iceland's Norse pagan religious association, officially recognized by the Icelandic government in 1973, which gives its priests — the goðar — the legal right to perform marriages. It performed its first Ásatrú wedding in 1977 and is based in Reykjavík.

Its goðar conduct Viking-style ceremonies with Old Norse chants, handfasting, mead toasts from a ceremonial horn and blessings drawn from the old traditions — and couples do not need to be pagan, Icelandic or heterosexual to marry this way. Only a small number of goðar conduct ceremonies in English, so foreign couples are advised to book well in advance. The official website is primarily in Icelandic.
