Celebrant Iceland (Sigurður Rúnarsson)

Sigurður "Siggy" Rúnarsson is a Reykjavík-based humanist officiant who has worked as a celebrant for Siðmennt, the Icelandic Ethical Humanist Association, since 2013 and also trained with the Norwegian Humanist Association. He is one of Iceland's best-known humanist celebrants and has served as vice president of Siðmennt.

Through his Celebrant Iceland brand he offers wedding and elopement ceremonies, vow renewals, naming ceremonies and funerals, written personally for each couple and delivered in English or Icelandic at locations across Iceland. As a Siðmennt celebrant, his wedding ceremonies can be legally binding for foreign couples who complete Iceland's marriage paperwork.
