Their approach
Meet Siðmennt (Humanists Iceland).
Siðmennt, the Icelandic Ethical Humanist Association (Humanists Iceland), is the country's national humanist organization and has legal authorization to conduct marriages in Iceland. Its trained celebrants perform personalized, non-religious ceremonies anywhere in the country — from Reykjavík venues to glaciers, beaches and lava fields — and are a standard choice for foreign couples eloping to Iceland.
Ceremonies are fully legal, not just symbolic: after the wedding the celebrant submits the paperwork to Þjóðskrá, Iceland's national registry, which issues the marriage certificate. Several celebrants work in English, and some offer additional languages. The published base ceremony fee is 90,000 ISK, with travel surcharges for ceremonies far from the capital.
