McWhirter Elopements

McWhirter Elopements is led by Lisa McWhirter, an Iceland elopement photographer and experience designer based in Vík, South Iceland. Her work combines documentary photography with local guidance for couples planning weddings among waterfalls, glaciers, black-sand beaches, canyons and the Highlands.

Planning support covers locations, relaxed timelines, weather strategy, backup options, trusted local vendors and practical travel advice. Lisa's approach is grounded in Leave No Trace principles and an inclusive welcome for different couples and love stories. Being based in Vík also gives her day-to-day familiarity with South Iceland's road, light, crowd and weather patterns.
